Lace Project done

I finally finished the heart doily today just in time for Eva's birthday. I hope she likes it. Here are some pictures of it done and when it was still on my lace pillow.

Lace project

I started this lace project on Sunday and it is half done now. I decided to make this for Tobbe's mom for her birthday on Thursday. I hope I can finish it in time. I think it will be nice and I hope she likes it. It is a pattern that I got a long time ago from the Lacemaker. It is designed by Claire Burkhard. I am doing it with Finca 30 which is the same size as Bockens 60. I think though I should have used a little thicker thread but I think it will still be ok. I still have to find some fabric to put in the center.

Teaching Amanda

I started teaching Amanda to make bobbin lace yesterday. She did great and I hope that she really enjoyed it. I set up a blog for her so she could put pictures up of her progress. Her first project is a snake from Christine Springetts Lace for Children of All Ages.

I have been totally obsessing over tatting again. I have been doing a lot of it the last few weeks. I just finished a tatted cross a few mins ago. I will post a picture of it tomorrow when I finish it completely. I bought a shuttle today but it was some cheap knock off and probably will return it and order a good one online.
