Australian Bonnet Project part 2

Well blogger was being difficult so I decided to start another post for explaining what I am doing for this project. I am planning on buying some nice linen fabric probably in an off white. I am also working on a swedish lace with hearts called Stupvända Hjärtan to trim it with. I also said that I would make a few plain bonnets for people that would like to be involved but can't sew. The bonnet was pretty simple so it isn't a big deal to do a few extras in a plain cotton. Here is a picture of the lace and pattern.

First is the sample I did to make sure the thread was the right size. I didn't have the directions at that point so I was trying to figure out how it was suppose to work. I then found that the directions were in a swedish book I have so it has gone very smoothly. I am planning on doing about 22 inches of this lace. I have chosen some of my best bobbins to make this. The thread I chose to use is 100/3 Brok cotton with size 12 Finca perle cotton both in offwhite.
