Latest Projects

I keep forgetting to update this blog, I ended up getting sick the end of September with bronchitis and just totally forgot. I have been working on plenty lately though. I finished a lace project that had been sitting on the pillow for years. I am so glad to be done with that one.

I still need to find some hankerchief linen to mount it on. It is from a Finnish designer called Eeva-Liisa Kortelahti. I am not sure which book it came from since I got the pattern from someone else. I think it might come from Lets Make Bobbin Lace but I can't be sure. Anyway I started that in 95 or so can't remember it had been on that pillow so long and it bored me so much. It was funny though when I went to look at how much I had left there was less than a half a repeat so I just stuck to it and finished. I had set it up with magic threads to help to join it but they had been flopping around for so long they were just a tangled mess so ended up cutting them off and joining it the old fashioned way which was annoying to say the least. But all in all I am pleased with it and happy I didn't just put it away again.
